The affinity modifies the perceived attractiveness. The Heavy Weighted Lure attracts only fish that weigh more than 80% of the maximum weight for their type.Įach species of Ocean Fishes have an affinity for different Lures. The Stupefying Lure drains the fish's stamina more quickly, making it easier to catch the fish once it has taken the bait. Exceptions to this are the Rainy Day Lure which is 100% effective during rain and 0% otherwise, and the Snow Day Lure which is 100% effective during snow and 0% otherwise. The attraction of all lures is reduced by 50% during Rain or Snow. The Sunrise, Dusky, and Nightflyer lures are only 100% effective during Day, Dusk and Night respectively, and they retain only 30% of their attraction outside of their relevant time of the day. When a fish manages to get away after biting the lure, the lure that was used to attract the fish is lost along with the float that was used. The craftable lures and the Bent Spork, on the other hand, will retain themselves as long as they aren't lost through a failed reeling. The attractiveness of Seeds and Berries also depends proportionally on the their freshness. Rot, Seeds, and Crop Seeds, Berries and Juicy Berries are single use only, as catching a fish will end up consuming the said lure. Next, offer the Moon Rock Idol to the Celestial Portal, and you’ll be brought back to the character selection screen. The lure can gain an attractiveness reel bonus if the player reel the line. To change character in Don’t Starve Together, you must put the Portal Paraphernalia onto the Florid Postern and transform it into the Celestial Portal using 1 Purple Gem and 20 Moon Rocks. The attractiveness quantifies the speed at which fishes bite the lure the higher the value, the faster the fish bite. Some lures offer a small bonus to this casting distance. The range bonus is a bonus to the Sea Fishing Rod casting range.Bigger the radius is, more fishes around the float are lured into the bait. The radius refers to the maximal distance for an Ocean Fish to be attracted by the lure.Additionally lures also affect the radius and range of the Sea Fishing Rod. Adding any other lure greatly increases the chance of fishes biting the hook, although some fishes cannot be lured by certain lures while most are very effective for catching certain fishes. If this is correct it should simplify the process, eliminating the need to look at the chat log.The hook of the Sea Fishing Rod is already able to catch every saltwater fish by itself without a lure placed in the lure slot but it is rather ineffective in this regard, with a low chance of a fish biting it. *edit: just saw written above that a person can see their own KU # on the main screen. You'll see that the person you added now has a "star" symbol to the left of their name and icon, just as you do. To confirm it in-game, load the world, then press the Tab key. I can personally confirm that, as I made my wife admin on my hosted server using this method. This *does* work just fine on hosted servers. Save the file and close it, then start the server again and voila, you've now given someone admin rights. If there are other wilson's on the server, sadly I don't know the right command for it. This will use the sethealth command on the character found. It should look like this, when finished: KU_AABB2233✡2345678987654321º If your friend isn't using Wilson you can change the character name wilson to whichever character your friend is using. You'll want that pasted in after the KU #, then comes the Steam ID, then another "degrees" symbol. It's this: º Basically a "degrees" symbol. The last thing to do, before you finish by pasting their Steam ID into the adminlist.txt file, is to add a special symbol in, after their KU #. Copy just the string of numbers at the end, nothing else. Go to their profile page, and look at the address bar at the top of the screen. Go back to the adminlist.txt file you created, and paste this in. Copy the KU ID of the person you wish to make admin, for example: KU_AABB2233 Easiest in this case is to have them type something, anything, then shut down the server so that file gets written to with the latest chat log, making it simple to find. So if the person you want to add hasn't spoken in chat I'm not personally sure of how you'd get their KU #. The console command c_listallplayers() doesn't seem to provide it. *There may be another way to obtain this number but I'm not aware of it. All persons chatting will be identified by both their screen-name and their KU ID. Go to the client_chat_log.txt file, which is up one directory (i.e. One will be the DST "KU" ID number of the player you want to add. Naviagte to Documents/Klei/DoNotStarveTogether/client_save/
